I haven't posted for a while, sorry. I've been hit hard by going back to work. Maybe two weeks off was too long!
I'm knitting my second jaywalker sock and have nothing else OTN (Sheldon has taken a short holiday to stay with my mum for a while, she can crochet you see). I keep wanting to cast on the first Fetching when the sock needles hurt my fingers, but a combination of hardening fingers and not so long to be able to spend knitting has meant that point hasn't come yet.
My Gran has had a small stroke and I think is in hospital (my mum said last night that she was, but my sister didn't seem to think so). They are going up to see her as I type - if they'd waited one day I could have gone :-(
I'm wondering if there is anything I can knit for her. I know she liked the slippers in Vogue Knitting Socks Two but I'm thinking she probably needs something with a more substantial non-slip sole really, being old and all. Do you think an old lady would like a pair of Fetchings?

Sorry to hear about your Gran. I hope she pulls through ok. You can get leather patches for soles that might be useful, or I believe there's some kind of puffy glue/paint stuff that can give some grip.
