First lace yarn

I'm very very very bored.

Ooh, what sort of yarn is it? The colour match is perfect. :-)

FWIW, I've always used yarn from Colourmart straight from the cone and then washed the finished item. Mainly cos I'm too impatient to wait for it to dry before I get started!

Kate, it is the Cashmere 2/28NM yarn.

I did wash the swatch I did (someone kindly sent me a bit in a different colourway) after knitting and it was fine, but most of the comments on the website advised doing it first.

Wish I'd ignored them though!

Is it some kind of peacock colour? I have a cone that's waiting for the perfect pattern. I have several contenders.

Aber - its called Mariner and its a mid-blue. I think of peacock as having a green tinge.

I'm going to do Hanami http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hanami-stole
